We are accessible, flexible, and diligent in representing our clients. Your case matters.

Accessibility

Our team is responsive and committed to making you feel heard and to addressing your concerns as quickly as possible. This is a confusing time; we can help you demystify it.

Tailored litigation style

Some cases call for a heavy hand while others benefit from a soft touch. I will take a shrewd, common-sense approach to evaluating your case and will tailor my style accordingly.

Diligence

I am diligent and detail-oriented without losing sight of the big picture. My arguments are well-reasoned and precise, and my courtroom presentations are professional and effective.

What I do:

I am attorney Courtney Kaisand, and I focus exclusively on family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, modification, enforcement, and pre- and post-marital agreements, primarily in Montgomery County, Texas and Harris County, Texas.  I am also regularly court-appointed to advocate for the best interest of children.

I understand that I am meeting my new clients during what is often the worst time of their lives.  Heartbreak, betrayal, tears, anger, profound sadness, fear, worry, confusion, feeling out of control…  I see all of this and treat my clients well, with caring and warmth, while still remaining their vigilant, no-nonsense advocate.  I know that clients want an expeditious, cost-effective resolution to their case, and I do my best to deliver.  I am also shrewd and realistic and tell my clients what they need to hear, even if it isn’t always what they want to hear.

How my practice differs:

There are a lot of good attorneys to choose from, but some of the things that set me apart are accessibility, tailored litigation style, and diligence.

We understand that your life is off-kilter right now and that you will have questions and issues that arise during your case.  We are available for you throughout the process so that you understand what is going on with your case and so that we understand what is going on with you.

I have a flexible litigation style.  We can adopt a very cooperative approach when you want to expend as little financial and emotional capital as possible, or we can adopt a much more aggressive approach depending on the facts of your case.  No two cases are identical, so it’s important to have an attorney who doesn’t have a one-size-fits-all approach to their cases.  Not every case requires a bulldog, but some cases do call for a heavy hand instead of a soft touch.

I am diligent.  I am detail-oriented without losing sight of the big picture and am well-prepared.  Your pleadings will be well-reasoned and precise.  When I communicate or file documents on your behalf, those items will be well-written.  When I appear in court on your behalf, my conduct will be professional and my arguments sound and as effective as possible.
